On the last day of Emily’s vacation in Singapore, Alvin was treating her to a birthday date night starting with a seaside, tapas style dinner at Sabio by the Sea at Sentosa Cove followed by drinks overlooking Marina Bay at The Lantern.
As the time was nearing midnight, the couple headed to Marina Barrage, Emily’s favourite spot in Singapore, where Alvin blindfolded her as they walked up the ramp guiding her to the top.
As the blindfold was removed, Emily noticed candles around them shaped in a heart as Alvin was handing her a bouquet of 99 beautifully folded roses. Alvin went down on one knee and asked for Emily’s hand in marriage. As Emily immediately said yes, Alvin told her to turn around. As she turned around, she saw many of their closest friends with cake and champagne to celebrate their engagement and Emily’s 27th birthday.
